Aftab Bahumukhi Farms Ltd is the only integrated and the largest poultry industry in Bangladesh that maintains the whole poultry chain from Grand Parent to Further Processed Chicken. Since its inception in 1991.
Aftab Bahumukhi Farms Ltd (ABFL) has launched a social campaign for the alleviation of poverty and the creation of self-employment. A number of its products and services have emerged as a means of livelihood both to men and women of the rural areas. Industrial and farming projects, better healthcare, educational privileges, and many other social activities are being facilitated at Bhagalpur and its adjacent 6 upozillas with the establishment of agro-based industries, Jahurul Islam Medical College, and Hospital, and general educational institutions under the management of Islam Group.
As a result, the village Bhagalpur and its adjacent upozillas are being turned into an academic-cum commercial center through which the people are able to earn honest money, get proper education and enjoy better health services. All these benefits and privileges bring changes in their thinking, lifestyle, mentality, attitude, and behavior. The locality is now humming with new life and economic activities. In due course, Aftab Bahumukhi Farms Ltd., Aftab Hatchery Ltd., Aftab Feed Products Ltd., and Aftab G. P. The government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty of USD 6.30 to USD 351.72 per tonne on imports of jute products from Bangladesh and Nepal, following a recommendation by the Directorate General of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties. This anti-dumping duty increases the cost of jute products imported from Bangladesh. Our products are no longer able to compete with jute products manufactured in India due to higher prices as a result of the anti-dumping duty.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday declared that jute and jute goods will now be considered as agro-based products so that this foreign exchange-earning sector could get all the benefits country’s other agro-based items to get.
AHL maintains the strictest safety guidelines to ensure that the poultry is always protected from disease and cross-contamination. We feed our poultry only the most superior feed in the market sourced from our subsidiary, Aftab Feed Products Ltd. This ensures that quality and transparency are maintained throughout the production process.
The government yesterday temporarily reopened raw jute export in order to clear pending export orders which amount to around 277,000 bales. According to the jute ministry, a number of 251 letters of credit (LC) have been pending since November 3, 2015, and the decision to lift the bar on export is only to clear the pending LCs.
The decision was taken following requests from exporters. “No new LC to export raw jute can be opened as per the decision,” said Muhammad Kefayetulla, director of the Department of Jute. He said the pending LCs were opened by 41 companies, and only they would get the facility to export during this period.
